Join us in celebrating our 20 year anniversary.
To commemorate this unique anniversary, this special competition invites you to design and make a single piece of jewellery that creatively, sensitively and joyfully celebrates a 20 year Anniversary.
In the UK, 20 year wedding anniversaries are traditionally celebrated with gifts of china or porcelain. Building on this theme, we are inviting you to design and make a piece of jewellery inspired by china or porcelain.
Materials can be anything you choose – metals, stones, fabrics and can include pieces of china or porcelain if you would like to.
The Concept
The Brief
Design and create a piece which references any of the following:
China and porcelain styles, design themes, patterns and colours through the ages – modern, traditional or historical.
Treatments to china and porcelain such as Kintsugi.
Symbols of love, desire, optimism, eternity.
The Prize
The winning and runner-up pieces will be displayed at Retail Jeweller Festival, London (March 2026) and be featured in Retail Jeweller magazine and in our social media coverage.

Deadline & Details
Design inspiration explanation, sketch and photographs of the finished piece to be submitted through the 20th Anniversary Design and Make application form between 1 April and the closing date 21 July 2025.
Who can apply:
This special category is open to all levels of current BA and MA students.
All pieces will be judged by our expert panel of Bright New Gem judges.
